Five Years of Training and Friendship

For the past 11 years (of her 30 year teaching career) Leann has taught the fifth grade students at High Springs Community School. She started working out at FloMotion Fitness in October of 2018 when she realized she needed to grow her exercise routine. In her own words,
“…I was running 3 to 5 miles a day but it wasn’t getting me the results that I felt I should be getting, considering the time and effort I was spending each day running. My weight was fine, but I wanted to see more definition and tone in my body. I had seen Flo and her clients on Facebook and had even asked around about the gym. To be honest, I was extremely intimidated because I don’t consider myself a “gym person.” I never knew what exercises to do or what weights to use. When my son moved to Orlando, I found myself with a lot of time on my hands, and I really needed something just for me. One morning, I bit the bullet and called for information, and the rest is history. I’ve been a part of Group Fitness at FloMotion Fitness ever since that day. My favorite part of the FloMotion Fitness experience is the flexibility of training. Flo is always saying “It’s your workout” which means you can make it as challenging or modify it however best to fit YOUR needs. The workouts change every day, so you are working out different parts of your body every day. This really keeps the workouts fresh and motivating. Also, they offer numerous class times. For me, I enjoy the 5 am class because I like to start my day by checking off my exercise task. However, if I want to sleep in, I can always jump in at 9:00 AM, 4:00 PM or 5:30 PM. Recently, Barre and cycle classes have been added to the schedule, and they are the best! I’ve been to other gyms, but I’ve never had the variety and comfort level that Flo and Diane offer at FloMotion Fitness. It’s large enough to provide me with lots of choices without the intimidation of a much larger, intense gym. During my time at FloMotion Fitness, I’ve invited friends who have joined, and now we hold each other accountable for our workouts. We really push each other which is great! I’ve seen my fitness level increase to include strength and definition. When I first started with FloMotion Fitness, my cardio strength was great, but weight training was a completely new experience for me. Since tone and definition was my primary goal, Flo helped me to work toward that with tailored exercises, weight training, and nutrition instruction. I can’t say that I’ve reached my final goal because every day I try to improve from the day before. I can’t say that personal training is something in my future, but who knows? After I retire from teaching in a few years, I may decide to pursue that. If so, there’s only one gym I would ever consider working at….the same one I work out at now…FloMotion Fitness! If I could tell those who are reading this one thing about FloMotion Fitness, it would be to check it out. Don’t let your fears stand in your way of being the best you that you can be. How does one recognize and honor a person who has been a friend and client of FloMotion Fitness for such a long time? Someone who was here before Covid, during Covid and now after Covid. Someone who never complains and works hard every time she is here. Leann came to FloMotion Fitness because she liked the intimate boutique nature of the studio and the personal attention every client receives from Flo. She has become so dedicated to training that as she mentioned the possibility of her becoming a Personal Trainer in her future. It’s this kind of commitment to good health and physical fitness that sets her apart as the motivational example she is.
As "Client of the Year" Leann not only receives our praise and appreciation but she will receive six (6) months of unlimited group fitness classes for free as a token of Flo's appreciation for her friendship and commitment to training at FloMotion Fitness.
